First Books, Inc. of 2040 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, IL 60647: A book publisher. Writer reports they wanted to charge a writer a percentage of the royalties in apparent perpetuity for manuscript editing.


First Century Ltd.: Not recommended. A subsidy press. Imprints are First Century, First Century Poetry, Cromwell, Christian Publishing, and M&N Publishing. Appears to be at the same address as Vista House, Ltd. Fish Publishing: "runs a range of competitions – from poetry and flash fiction to crime, historical fiction, and short stories.
