Gardenia Press: A book publisher. 2/20/04: has filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy. Not recommended.

Geelong Small Press Publishing: defunct: "a new Australian publisher specialising in electronic publishing. Our web site provides details of the services we provide, and also includes some articles and tips for writers. Being a small company, we guarantee our authors our personal attention -- and as we are writers in addition to being publishers, we know how important that is. We are seeking submission of quality manuscripts and, although we are particularly interested in fiction, we will consider most genres."

Gemini Books, Inc.: "...an electronic publishing company offering a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction. Jetstream, the company's short-works division, offers writers an opportunity to sell their short fiction and non-fiction. This line will launch in February 2001." Link reported invalid.

Global Authors Publications: "A cross between self publishing and POD. We do charge the author a fee to publish like PODs but books are returnable to allow authors to get into chain stores. We have two options, one that gives authors 100% of royalties and allows them to purchase books at printers cost. (We use Lightning Source so books are listed with Ingrams and Baker and Taylor) We also offer a bargain option that still allows returnability and lets authors buy at 20% over cost and get 75% of their royalties." Appears to be open and frank about their pricing.

Gom Publishing (pronounced "gome"): "a conventional publisher with a POD arm. Most of our books are conventional, but we do offer self-publishing (for-a-fee) services for those wishing to go that route."
